Hölle Games was founded in 2020 by industry veterans, coming from various blue-chip iGaming-companies such as bwin, Tipico, SG Digital, Merkur Interactive and G Games. We are focussed on developing cutting-edge video slots for the German and wider Continental European markets.
Hölle Games believes in a remote-first and asynchronous-first work culture, which differs from your typical office environment. We don’t do this out of recent necessity but we believe that this setup works better for us and is likely superior to the alternative. This offers unique freedoms and benefits such as the ability to work where you want (at home, or a co-working space, etc) and also when you want (as long as you are roughly living in the CET timezone) as most of our work happens asynchronous and without so-called zoom-fatigue. We are looking for a Senior Game Developer to join the founding team. This is an opportunity to work alongside the founders of the company, two of whom are senior developers in their respective areas of expertise.The job entails the responsibility to develop HTML5 video slot games from end-to-end (back-end and front-end). We have developed a sophisticated game framework that allows us to create new games based on an existing set of features within a very short period of time. You’ll make use of this existing front-end framework and work closely with the founding team to expand this framework to cater for the ever-new cutting-edge features we are adding to our games.
We are using Typescript across the company, meaning typings are shared between front-end and back-end code. Therefore, we are looking for a Typescript developer (someone who has experience using Typescript in a commercial project) as opposed to a pure Javascript developer. As for technologies, we are using pixi.js for the front-end framework and node.js for the back-end. In the front-end we are also using WebAudio and GLSL shaders, so experience with these is a bonus.
You are what is sometimes called a ‘Manager of One’. Meaning, you are able to set your own goals and execute them. We’d like to trust quickly, but also we will not leave you alone when you or we think help and support is required. We want you to have your own opinion and need you to be able to demonstrate the ability to professionally articulate your point of view.
In your previous roles you have demonstrated the ability to think creatively and autonomously as well as take the initiative when it comes to technical solutions to problems.
